The CRKT M16-03KS is probably the most iconic CRKT model ever designed. This knife, which was designed by Kit Carson is an homage to the M16 assault rifle, has been around for quite some time. This M16-03KS is a slim and pointed version. You open it with one hand with the flipper or double thumb stud and it is locked by the framelock. Because the flipper serves as a support for your finger when opened, slipping and ending up on the blade is almost impossible.
In terms of materials the M16-03KS was given an upgrade when compared to most CRKT knives. It is enhanced with a blade made from Sandvik 12C27 steel. A Swedish type of steel that is corrosion resistant and retains its sharpness well. The frame is enhanced with a bronze-coloured titanium nitride coating,
